Aye! Get rid of that frown!

That look you give when you see that one person who hurt you! Some flash the stank face, others flash a mean side eye, and me.. well, I just flash a smile. A genuine, no hard feelings smile.

Heyyy my loves!!

One of the hardest things to do in life is to forgive... another major rough task is to be "ok" when he/she approaches you or you see him/her during an outing. A perfectly good day interrupted by that one person who hurt you so bad that you wanted to do some ungodly things to em'... I digress... :) The most natural thing to do is to look at em like he/she is the devil him/herself but you know what I figured out??? I know that the only thing that would do is 1... give you a headache (if you frown hard enough lol) and 2... it makes him/her think they've won. Yeah, it makes them feel as if they have some power of you and that they were actually able to bring you down. Nope! I don't give the satisfaction... I don't give the satisfaction of them feeling like they have the upper hand...simply bc they don't!! Oh no, they certainly don't. The more you smile at him/her. Speak to them and be kind to them, the more you are letting go and the better you'll feel.

Just recently, I was in that very situation. I faced that one person who hurt me...you know... the one I wanted to do the ungodly things to... but again, I digress lol... Instead of fussing, being all mad, giving out the infamous stank eye, I smiled and spoke to him politely and I am so glad I did. I walked away feeling great! I walked away knowing that my Worth was in tact. I didn't give him the time of day to get some of my energy. I'd rather focus my energy elsewhere. My day wasn't ruined and he knows that he didn't destroy me! His antics didn't destroy me. In fact, I'm so much better because of it.

I want to encourage you to do the same my beautiful friend! Smile and speak nicely. Don't worry, he/she will reap what they've sown... in due time... and when he/she does, I truly believe God will show them your face when it's going down :) :).....
