Yep, you're still my mom. You just relocated to Heaven...

To my mom, my newest Angel, to relocate to Heaven!

You know, I tried calling you today. I’ve been dialing your number and quickly hanging up since the day you became an Angel.

I saw a commercial on TV that I knew for a fact you would laugh at with me and understand why it was so funny; not everyone around us knew why we laughed all the time when we were on one of our daily chats, at just about everything. This one was the best, I’m talkin’ bout dropping the phone kind of laughing. As you would often do during one of our laughter get downs. As soon as I saw it, I said, “ohhh Dominick, go and get my phone, hurry up so I can call grandma.” Dominick jumped up but then stopped and said, “wait, you can’t do that ma, grandma isn’t here anymore but don’t worry, she sees it from Heaven.”

My heart sank again until I realized that, you’re not gone, you’re just watching me from Heaven, laughing your infectious laugh in Heaven, bringing all the other Angels to laugh too. After we finished laughing, and both of us were to the point of tears, you would say “I love you my baby and I’m so proud of you.” Yes, I would respond by saying “aww, love you too ma” but I never told you how much that meant to me to hear you say it. That being said, I want to take this time to let you know that I am someone who you can be proud of because you brought me into the world. All of what makes me, the person that you were proud of, came directly from having you as my mom. I love you and I pray that I’m continuing to make you proud, from Heaven.
